I'm Nico Filipakis, founder of Filipakis Advisory. My background is in corporate finance and consulting, specifically FP&A, asset-based lending, and transaction advisory. Throughout my career I've evaluated businesses, assessed financial statements, identified risks, and served clients ranging from commercial banks and private equity sponsors to companies of all sizes.
What I kept seeing was a gap. Small business owners were working with bookkeepers who recorded transactions but couldn't interpret them. The numbers were there, but the insight wasn't.
I started Filipakis Advisory to close that gap. Every client gets books maintained to institutional standards, monthly reporting that actually means something, and an advisor who understands what lenders, owners, and operators need to see.
I'm a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University and an M.S. in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury.
